Round 1 closes 20 September 2026

Register, and enter Round 1.

One form does both. It books your seat at the Chiang Mai build day on Sunday 27 September — free, 13 and up, no experience needed — and, if you want it, enters you into Round 1, the online idea round we judge before the event.

You do not have to enter Round 1 to come. The build day is open to everyone who registers. Round 1 is what puts you in the mentored workshop track and in front of the judges at the end of the day.

Round 1 · online

Idea and video, by 20 Sep

Describe what you want to build and post a pitch video publicly on YouTube or Facebook. We judge it and email every entrant on 22 September.

Round 2 · onsite

Workshop and judging

Get through Round 1 and 27 September is a mentored session built around your idea, judged near the end of the day for a trophy.

No cash here

Trophy, swag, certificate

Prize money is RevenueCat's and is awarded on Devpost, not by us. What we hand out in Chiang Mai is a trophy, swag, and a certificate for everyone.

Free · 13+

Not through? Still come

Round 1 is not a gate. You keep your seat either way, and you can enter the global Shipaton on Devpost yourself regardless of what we decide.

I want to take part

Fill in the form below. It books your seat and, if you want it, enters you into Round 1 — the idea and the pitch video we judge before the event. Takes a couple of minutes.

I just want to watch

Then don't fill in anything. Walk in, see what people are building, hear the finalists at the end, take swag. Just RSVP on Luma so we know how many chairs to set out.

Sunday 27 September 2026, 12:30–17:00 at มานาบิ Manabi Co-Working Space (ถนนแก้วนวรัฐ ตำบลช้างม่อย อำเภอเมืองเชียงใหม่ เชียงใหม่ 50000). We'll email you a six-digit code to check the address works, then send you to Luma to confirm the seat. If you enter Round 1, this same form carries your idea and your video — there is nothing else to send.

Round 1 — the online idea round

We read every entry ourselves and email all entrants on Tuesday 22 September 2026. Entries close Sunday 20 September, 23:59 ICT.

Yes, enter my ideaJudged before the event. Get through and 27 September is a mentored workshop around your idea, judged at the end for a trophy. No, I'm just coming to buildYour seat is exactly the same. You can come back and enter any time before 20 September.

What are you building?

Tell us about itUp to 1200 characters. Thai or English, whichever you think in. We are judging the idea and how clearly you can explain it, not your grammar.

Link to your pitch videoTwo minutes or less, filmed on anything. It has to be a public post on YouTube or Facebook — not unlisted, not Drive, not a private link — captioned with #DekPort #Shipaton #DekPortxShipaton. Public and tagged is how other entrants find each other, and it is part of what we check.

Anything we should know? (optional)

I plan to attend in person in Chiang Mai on 27 September, and DekPort may email me about this event. If I entered Round 1, my pitch video is a public post and DekPort may link to or reshare it.

Two things people mix up

Round 1 is ours. The prize money is not. Winning Round 1 gets you into the workshop and up for a trophy, a certificate and swag. Every baht of the $700k+ is RevenueCat's and is awarded through Devpost, so register and submit there as well. That is the one with the real deadline: 30 September.
Not getting through Round 1 takes nothing away. Your seat stands, and your Devpost entry is entirely between you and RevenueCat — we are not a filter on it.

Before the day

Use your school or university email on Devpost. Next Gen eligibility is checked from that address, not from this form.
Open the starter kit and get your build running before you arrive. The afternoon is short.
Bring a laptop, a charger, and a phone or simulator you can demo on.

This goes to the DekPort organizers for check-in, team matching and Round 1 judging. We don't publish any of it, and your email doesn't go to RevenueCat or anyone else. Your pitch video is public because you posted it publicly — that part is your call, not ours.
